WHY CHOOSE DERMAL FILLERS?
Fillers can be permanent or temporary. A permanent filler can provide lasting results; but as the term suggests, this can mean living with a result…permanently. Or there are
Although facial fillers can be made of different ingredients, they all aim to produce a result that is seen instantly after the procedure. Furthermore, by injecting fillers into specific points on the face you can achieve effects similar to a facelift whilst avoiding invasive and expensive surgery.
A common type of dermal filler is a Hyaluronic Acid (HA) facial filler. HA fillers are natural fillers that are injected directly into the skin to reduce the signs of ageing and improve overall skin quality, by adding moisture back where it is needed. They also add volume, to either restore volume lost over

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT DERMAL FILLERS
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERMANENT AND RESORBABLE FILLERS?
Permanent fillers last longer than resorbable fillers in your skin. Their effect is irreversible. Consequently, removing the implant or correcting the result becomes very difficult. In addition, permanent fillers can cause delayed hyper-sensitivity.
It is highly advisable to use resorbable fillers for safer results.
WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural skin component. It acts like a sponge and retains large quantities of water to keep the skin plumped and soft. In the fillers syringes, HA comes in the form of a gel. We lose 50 % of our hyaluronic acid between the age of 40 and 50. The skin becomes dry, thin and fragile.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HA FILLERS AND BOTULINUM TOXINE?
Fillers and botulinum toxin are both used to treat wrinkles. However, their mode of action is completely different.
Botulinum toxin is injected into the muscle. It causes local paralysis and thus reduces expression lines. It is a preventive method.
HA fillers are gels, injected under the skin to directly fill the wrinkles and smoothen skin surface. It is a corrective method.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD HYALURONIC ACID INJECTIONS BE REPEATED?

WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS?

*In combination with peeling, laser or ultrasound-based treatments.
*If the patient has cutaneous disorders, inflammation or infection at the treatment site or near to this site.
*In the case of patients having a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, with a history of severe allergy or anaphylactic shock.
*Hypersensitivity to lidocaine and/or amide local anaesthetic agents.
*Patients with autoimmune diseases.
*In pregnancy, breast-feeding mothers, or in children.
WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I TAKE BEFORE AND AFTER TREATMENT ?
You should inform your doctor of all your medical and disease history and your current and past drugs and treatments.
BEFORE the injection:
It is strongly proposed to avoid taking aspirin, anti-coagulants and anti-inflammatory drugs for a week prior to the procedure. Refer to your practitioner before interrupting any chronic treatment.
AFTER the injection:
Avoid drinking alcohol, taking a plane or doing any kind of sports for a period of 72 hours
WHEN CAN I SEE THE DEFINITIVE RESULTS OF THE INJECTION?
The results are instant but the definitive effect is visible after a few weeks.
CAN OPENED SYRINGES BE REUSED IF STORED PROPERLY?
No. After the injection, syringe, needle or cannula and any unused product should be disposed of immediately as this is a single-use device.
WHY IS MY FACE LOSING VOLUME?
With time, our skin progressively loses its structure due to:
- Loss of hyaluronic acid and elasticity
- Reduction of fat under the skin
- Bone resorption
Consequently, our facial skin sags under the effect of gravity and the face loses its volume.
WHAT IS CHEEK AUGMENTATION?
Glowing, contoured, high cheekbones are a feature many women find sexy and beautiful.
As we age the bone and tissues of the face lose volume. Our high cheekbones become less defined, and we are left with a little bit of a droop. Over time, the loss of Hyaluronic Acid within the skin means we lose some of the youthful elasticity of our cheeks, which makes them appear a bit saggy. The fat pads on our cheeks begin to slide down and create more pressure on our nasolabial fold; the line that connects the tip of your nose to the corner of your lips. This makes the fold more pronounced.
Adding dermal fillers deep within the skin restores
WHAT IS LIP FILLERS?
Who doesn’t want plump, luscious, natural-looking lips?
Natural ageing process change the appearance of your face over time. So what happens to our lips? Where did the volume go? Our facial bone structure actually changes over time. The bone that supports your lips gets reabsorbed into the body, without its support, your upper lip may appear thinner and flatter. Appearance of lines and wrinkles Our skin loses Hyaluronic Acid (HA) over time, which means that we lose some of that youthful elasticity. We smile a lot, and the repetition of smiling starts to show with marionette lines; the little lines on the sides of your lips. Getting lips you’ll love is achievable. Facial fillers can not only smooth wrinkles around the mouth, they can also make them fuller, more symmetrical, and more noticeable. Filling your marionette lines gives a smoother look. Filling bar lines around your mouth gives a younger appearance.
WHAT IS FACE FILLERS?
You may have heard the term ‘liquid face lift’. Rather than going for invasive surgery, injecting facial fillers in certain areas using specific techniques provides similar effects without the complications of surgery. By adding volume to your CHEEKS, JAWLINE and CHIN many women look beautiful and younger.
