Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty avoids the common risks of surgical rhinoplasty such as scarring, difficulty breathing through the nose, poor cosmetic results, and, of course, the pain and recovery time.

Lips Fillers Near Newcastle

The most common reason men and women have lip fillers is to rectify asymmetry. For instance, a conspicuous ridge on one side or if one of the top edges is higher than the other can be filled in with dermal to create an even appearance.

Achieving facial harmony. — a popular surgical procedure for persons with an uneven Cupid’s bow, one side of the mouth that is somewhat larger than the other, or a top or bottom that is overly prominent. Unevenness is easily rectifiable with our lip enhancement treatment.

Cheek fillers Near Newcastle

Are you self-conscious about your cheekbones? You may be considering cheek fillers.

Cheek fillers are injections that will raise the volume of the area around your cheekbones. Providing the illusion of a more defined bone structure. By injecting volume under your skin layer, cheek fillers can also smooth out wrinkles and fine lines.

Cheek fillers can last anywhere from 18 months to 2 years before results are no longer noticeable. The dermal filler will eventually dissolve and metabolise into your skin tissue.

Dermal Fillers can be permanent or temporary

A permanent filler can provide lasting results; but as the term suggests, this can mean living with a result…permanently. Or there are non-permanent fillers that can have durable, long-lasting results, but your body is able to metabolise them and eventually, the results will fade.

Although facial fillers can be made of different ingredients, they all aim to produce a result that is seen instantly after the procedure. Furthermore, by injecting fillers into specific points on the face you can achieve effects similar to a facelift whilst avoiding invasive and expensive surgery.

A common type of dermal filler is a Hyaluronic Acid (HA) facial filler. HA fillers are natural fillers that are injected directly into the skin to reduce the signs of ageing and improve overall skin quality, by adding moisture back where it is needed. They also add volume, to either restore volume lost over time or to provide a subtle enhancement, leaving you feeling confident.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT DERMAL FILLERS

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERMANENT AND RESORBABLE FILLERS?

Permanent fillers last longer than resorbable fillers in your skin. Their effect is irreversible. Consequently, removing the implant or correcting the result becomes very difficult. In addition, permanent fillers can cause delayed hypersensitivity. It is highly advisable to use resorbable fillers for safer results.

WHY IS MY FACE LOSING VOLUME?

With time, our skin progressively loses its structure due to:

  •  Loss of hyaluronic acid and elasticity
  • Reduction of fat under the skin
  • Bone resorption

Consequently, our facial skin sags under the effect of gravity and the face lose its volume.

WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural skin component. It acts like a sponge and retains large quantities of water to keep the skin plumped and soft. In the filler syringes, HA comes in the form of a gel. We lose 50 % of our hyaluronic acid between the age of 40 and 50. The skin becomes dry, thin and fragile.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HA FILLERS AND BOTOX?

Fillers and botulinum toxin are both used to treat wrinkles. However, their mode of action is completely different.
Botulinum toxin is injected into the muscle. It causes local paralysis and thus reduces expression lines. It is a preventive method.
HA fillers are gels, injected under the skin to directly fill the wrinkles and smoothen skin surface. It is a corrective method.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD HYALURONIC ACID INJECTIONS BE REPEATED?

Normally the effect of an injection depends on the type of the product and differs from one person to another. Refer to your Dr Matla for more precise information.

WHEN CAN I SEE THE DEFINITIVE RESULTS OF THE INJECTION?

The results are instant but the definitive effect is visible after a few weeks.

WHAT IS CHEEK AUGMENTATION?

Glowing, contoured, high cheekbones are a feature many women find sexy and beautiful.

As we age the bone and tissues of the face lose volume. Our high cheekbones become less defined, and we are left with a little bit of a droop. Over time, the loss of Hyaluronic Acid within the skin means we lose some of the youthful elasticity of our cheeks, which makes them appear a bit saggy. The fat pads on our cheeks begin to slide down and create more pressure on our nasolabial fold; the line that connects the tip of your nose to the corner of your lips. This makes the fold more pronounced.

Adding dermal fillers deep within the skin restores it’s youthful elasticity. By adding volume strategically to the midface area, by enhancing the curve of the cheekbones, we are able to lift the cheeks, lips and lower face. You can see visible results instantly after your treatment, so you can enjoy your revitalized look right away. The results are natural-looking and are clinically proven.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I TAKE BEFORE AND AFTER TREATMENT ?

You should inform your doctor of all your medical and disease history and your current and past drugs and treatments.

BEFORE the injection:
It is strongly proposed to avoid taking aspirin, anti-coagulants and anti-inflammatory drugs for a week prior to the procedure. Refer to your practitioner before interrupting any chronic treatment.

AFTER the injection:
Avoid drinking alcohol, taking a plane or doing any kind of sports for a period of 72 hours post- injection. Also, during the 15 days following your treatment, it is highly advisable to avoid dental treatments, aesthetic procedures of any type, sun exposure and extreme temperatures (icy weather, saunas, steam rooms, hot baths…).

WHAT ARE THE CONTRAINDICATIONS?

HA injections are contra-indicated and must not be used:

*In combination with peeling, laser or ultrasound-based treatments.
*If the patient has cutaneous disorders, inflammation or infection at the treatment site or near to this site.
*In the case of patients having a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, with a history of severe allergy or anaphylactic shock.
*Hypersensitivity to lidocaine and/or amide local anaesthetic agents.
*Patients with autoimmune diseases.
*In pregnancy, breast-feeding mothers, or in children.

WHAT ARE LIP FILLERS?

Who doesn’t want plump, luscious, natural-looking lips? The natural ageing process changes the appearance of your face over time. So what happens to our lips? Where did the volume go? Our facial bone structure actually changes over time. The bone that supports your lips gets reabsorbed into the body, without its support, your upper lip may appear thinner and flatter. The appearance of lines and wrinkles Our skin loses Hyaluronic Acid (HA) over time, which means that we lose some of that youthful elasticity. We smile a lot, and the repetition of smiling starts to show with marionette lines; the little lines on the sides of your lips. Getting lips you’ll love is achievable. Facial fillers can not only smooth wrinkles around the mouth, but they can also make them fuller, more symmetrical, and more noticeable. Filling your marionette lines gives a smoother look. Filling bar lines around your mouth gives a younger appearance.
